CYTEC is proud to support theENI Metz Racing Team in the prestigious Formula Student 2025 competition. This international challenge pits engineering schools from around the world against each other, each designing and building a vehicle that meets strict specifications.
For its 15th participation in Formula Student, the Hermès team from ENIM took on a major challenge: designing and manufacturing a completely new single-seaterintegrating two electric wheel motors at the rear, a carbon monocoque chassis, an optimized cooling system and a carbon fiber aerodynamic kit.
After ten months of intensive work, from a blank sheet of paper to the first prototype, the team recently completed its first road test. This test is crucial, as it comes just before the launch of the competition program, which begins this weekend. The margin for error is therefore extremely small, and every detail counts.
Composed of around twenty fifth-year engineering students, the team is structured around specialized areas: chassis, aerodynamics, running gear, and electrical systems. This organizational model, led by team manager Nathan Kannengießerfosters efficient project management and a high level of technical expertise. In addition to their technical excellence, the students of the ENI Metz Racing Team also excel in organization and communication, participating in trade shows and competitions, and maintaining a strong presence on social media and in the press.
This year, the Hermès single-seater will participate in four European competitions in the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and in France. The team is aiming for a historic performance with a podium finish abroad, an objective that reflects its international ambition.
