Cytec supports the ENI Metz Racing Team for the 2025 Formula Student season
News |CYTEC is proud to support the ENI Metz Racing Team in the prestigious Formula Student 2025 competition. This international challenge brings together engineering schools from around the world, each designing and building a vehicle in compliance with strict technical specifications.
For its 15th participation in Formula Student, the Hermès team from ENIM has taken on a major challenge: to design and manufacture an entirely new single-seater car, featuring two in-wheel electric motors on the rear axle, a carbon monocoque chassis, an optimized cooling system, and a carbon fiber aerodynamic package.
After ten months of intensive work, from a blank sheet to the first prototype, the team has recently completed its first rolling test. This critical step comes just before the launch of the competition program, which begins this weekend. As a result, the margin for error is extremely narrow, and every detail matters.
Composed of around twenty fifth-year engineering students, the team is structured around several specialized departments: chassis, aerodynamics, powertrain, and electrical systems. This organization, led by Team Manager Nathan Kannengießer, allows for efficient project management and a high level of technical precision. In addition to their engineering excellence, the students also stand out through their strong organization and communication skills, with regular participation in trade shows, competitions, and active media presence on social networks and in the press.
This year, the Hermès car will compete in four European events: in the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, and France. The team’s goal is clear: to reach the podium abroad—a first in its history—highlighting its international ambition.
At CYTEC, we are proud to support a project that embodies values we hold dear: innovation, commitment, teamwork, and technical precision.
We wish the ENI Metz Racing Team the best of luck for the start of this exciting season!
