
The Finite Element Approach for High-Performance and Sustainable Products!
News |At CYTEC, we pay close attention to optimizing raw materials in the design of our products. This approach is both an ecological choice – aiming to reduce waste and limit our environmental impact – and a way to continuously improve the technical performance of our components.
To achieve this, we use an advanced analysis method: the finite element approach. With the help of specialized software, this technique allows us to determine residual thicknesses after thermoforming, as well as potential deformations under load.
Although based on complex software and calculations, the results are displayed in a color-coded visual format, making them easy for our technical teams to interpret. This clear visualization enables us to make the best decisions regarding the optimal material thickness before thermoforming, depending on the product’s actual use conditions.
